Apostille Procedure:
Apostille from MEA can be done after attestation from pertinent State Govt. authorities. Action 1-- Verification of Documents
All original documents/copies needing Apostille/attestation from MEA must be first verified by the assigned authorities of the State/Union Region where the record is provided.

For Educational files, The documents need to initially be proven by the Education Division/ Personnel Advancement (HRD) of the concerned State Government/Union Area. The authentication must be done with the name and also designation seal along with the seal of the Division.

For Non-Educational records, House Department or General Administration Department (GAD) of the releasing State Government/Union Area is the designated authorities to undertake the main attestation. The attestation should be finished with the name and classification seal along with the seal of the Division.

Commercial DocumentsThese are to be pre-authenticated by the corresponding Chambers of Business. The rubber stamp of the particular Chamber of Business need to be fastened on each file along with the name & classification of authorized signatory.

Action 2-- Apostille of Records
