Action 1-- Authentication of Documents
All original documents/copies needing Apostille/attestation from MEA must be first verified by the designated authorities of the State/Union Area where the file is provided.

For Educational records, The papers must first be proven by the Education Department/ Human Resource Advancement (HRD) of the concerned State Government/Union Territory. The authentication must be performed with the name and designation seal along with the seal of the Department.

For Non-Educational files, House Department or General Management Division (GAD) of the issuing State Government/Union Territory is the assigned authorities to take on the main attestation. The attestation must be made with the name as well as classification seal along with the seal of the Division.

Business DocumentsThese are to be pre-authenticated by the particular Chambers of Commerce. The rubber stamp of the particular Chamber of Commerce must be affixed on each document along with the name & designation of accredited notary.

Action 2-- Apostille of Documents
